Josh Luth is Director of Food Chain CSR Engagement for the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy. In this role, Luth serves as a relationship manager between top foodservice, retail, CPG brands, and the dairy industry on dairy’s key social responsibility priorities.
From a farmer-teacher family to top dairy companies, he has grown his skills full-cycle in the food industry, quality assurance, supply chain, development, and sustainability initiatives. Luth brings a hands-on approach from his involvement on a dairy farm and custom heifer ranch in south-central California. After college, he worked in cheese and butter manufacturing, focusing on product and human safety at Foremost Farms, a 1200 member-owned cooperative based in the Midwest. He transferred to become milk procurement and sustainability manager in 2016, serving as the liaison between dairy farm member-owners of Foremost Farms USA to the corporate office on milk trends, animal welfare, policy, and environmental opportunities.
Luth has a bachelor’s degree from the College of Idaho and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. He has been closely involved with National Mastitis Council, Wisconsin Farm Bureau, Dairy Strong Sustainability Alliance, and formerly served on both the technical writing group for the National Dairy FARM Animal Care program and National Milk Producers Federation Animal Health and Wellbeing Committee.
