The FARM Program will be hosting a number of in-person trainings to certify or recertify as Animal Care Version 4 evaluators and trainers. Registration is now open for all of the 2023 FARM-hosted Animal Care certification and recertification courses.

FAQs

How do I register for Animal Care evaluator initial certification?
Those interested in becoming certified FARM Program evaluators should review the Animal Care Evaluator Expectations and complete the application for first-time evaluators.

How do I register for Animal Care evaluator recertification?
In the FARM Database, in the top navigation, recertifying evaluators and trainer should select “Training” then “Request Recertification”.

What if an Animal Care evaluator wants to certify as a trainer?
Individuals who have conducted FARM Animal Care evaluations for three years are qualified to become FARM trainers. When applying for recertification in the FARM Database by selecting “Training” then “Request Recertification” in the top navigation, evaluators should select “I am currently a certified Animal Care evaluator, now I want to become a certified Trainer.”.

What if these dates do not work for me?
FARM will not be hosting any additional in-person or virtual trainings at this time. If these dates do not work for you, we encourage you to contact an independent trainer. You can view more information about independent trainers here.

What is the cost of the training?
Initial Animal Care Evaluator Course – $600
Animal Care Trainer Course – $600
Recertifying Animal Care Trainer – $600
Recertifying Animal Care Evaluator – $575
