The National Dairy FARM Program, administered by the National Milk Producers Federation, assists U.S. dairy farmers in their commitment to on-farm social responsibility and provides dairy customers and consumers assurances of that commitment. The FARM Program is seeking an Information Systems Analyst to manage technology provider relationships in order to ensure the needs of program stakeholders are met.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing relationships with technology providers, including collaboration on design and development to scope, build and launch new features of the software platforms
  • Ensure that the FARM Program’s software capabilities meet the collective needs of FARM stakeholders by identifying and prioritizing work, identifying and implementing new procedures and features and troubleshooting issues; presenting recommendations to FARM Program Area Leads
  • Build consensus amongst internal stakeholders – particularly, FARM Program Area Leads – by establishing a shared vision and a roadmap of prioritized initiatives
  • Collaborate and provide on-going communication regarding roadmaps to the FARM Program Area Leads and stakeholders
  • Oversee software development activities including design, development, implementation, testing, documentation, and support
  • Develop and prepare detailed monthly and quarterly data summaries to enhance communications materials and program area development

Competencies & Qualifications

  • Detail and results-oriented with a high bar for quality when reviewing designs, brainstorming technical approach, and testing technology system features
  • Ability to keep up with a fast-paced, stakeholder needs-driven organization, focusing on execution
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders, e.g. internal staff, stakeholders, user groups and contracted vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and in a team environment to achieve goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working in a similar role or capacity
  • Preferred education is a four-year bachelor’s degree in a related field of study, Data Science, Data Management, Agribusiness, or Engineering, or equivalent education and experience
  • Familiarity with agriculture and/or the dairy industry strongly preferred
  • Experience in identifying and analyzing business requirements and recommending solutions
  • Experience in managing diverse information systems
  • Experience in analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Familiarity and experience with Jira Software, LMS systems and Salesforce preferred, but not required
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 Products including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, as well as Google Sheets
  • Position will report to the Vice President of The National Dairy FARM Program
