A farm that uses solid-liquid separation has multiple uses for the manure solids after in-vessel composting (windrow composting, sold off-farm, and bedding). Should all of that be taken into consideration or should it all be considered as going through the in-vessel composting?

Environmental Stewardship Version: V2

A farm that uses solid-liquid separation has multiple uses for the manure solids after in-vessel composting (windrow composting, sold off-farm, and bedding). Should all of that be taken into consideration or should it all be considered as going through the in-vessel composting?

What is the recommendation when a farm is using a manure management system not included in FARM ES today?

Is there a matrix of the 18 manure management systems that would specifically identify the typical carbon footprint of each system type included in Version 2?

Why does daily spread have a lower IPCC footprint than an anaerobic lagoon?

If the bedded pack is surrounded by cement walls, would it be considered solid storage versus a pile of bedded pack with open aisles around it?

If the solids and liquids are utilized differently after manure goes through an anaerobic digester, how would that be designated in the section about manure management systems for effluent?

How do the MJ used to produce a lb. of milk change depending on net metering and Renewable Energy Credits (RECs)?

Do you have the energy factors used to convert to MJ?

Does diesel use for spreading manure or scraping the pens need to be accounted for?
