Professional Dairy Producers: 2024 Calf Care Connection
Join PDPW in Wisconsin on October 15-16 for the 2024 Calf Care Connections program!
The general session focuses on biosecurity. Dr. Don Sockett, DVM, delves into the ways in which infectious pathogens are shared — and how we may be unwittingly aiding and abetting the culprits— he’ll discuss dairy zones, cross contamination, and zoonotic diseases as well as how to alleviate the spread from human to calf and calf to human.
Additional sessions include information on other common calf illnesses such as pneumonia, scours, and digestive issues. Attendees will hear from industry experts: Dr. Theresa Ollivett, DVM, PhD, DACVIM; Dr. Melissa Cantor, PhD; Dr. Derek Foster, DVM, PhD, DACVIM. These breakout sessions will also be provided in Spanish!

American Association of Bovine Practitioners: 57th Annual Conference- Challenging the Norm
The 2024 AABP Program Committee welcomes you to the 57th Annual Conference of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, September 12-14, 2024 in Columbus, Ohio. This is an outstanding opportunity to participate in one of the most comprehensive scientific programs ever assembled on cattle disease and production. Protecting Your Profits webinar- FARM Program Overview & Version 5.0 Updates
The Center for Dairy Excellence hosts a monthly “Protecting Your Profits” webinar, this month’s webinar is titled “FARM Program: Overview & Version 5.0 Updates.” Beverly Hampton Phifer, Senior Director of Animal Care from the National Dairy FARM Program, will share an overview of the National FARM Program and explain why FARM was created for dairy farmers by dairy farmers. In addition to discussing Version 5.0 updates, Hampton Phifer will also share how adhering to FARM guidelines can effectively mitigate risk for dairy producers.
To join the discussion in a format that is most convenient for you, the Center will host it in a webinar, podcast, and conference call format. There is no cost to participate in the ‘Protecting Your Profits’ discussion, and no registration is necessary.

These trainings will cover the Version 2 evaluation and are open for both recertifying and initial Evaluators.
